The benefits offered by Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT comes with a pitfall, it makes industrial devices vulnerable to cybercrime threats. Cybersecurity has become a critical issue not only for Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, but also for Operation Technology (OT). As IT and OT converge, general factory floor automation and many industrial applications need to be prepared for both today´s and tomorrow’s cybersecurity threats.
