Many embedded devices are no longer standalone and have external data connections to enable remote diagnostics, data gathering and control. Connected devices are vulnerable to attack and exploitation. This is affecting our safety and security and is becoming a real danger. In this talk the everyday threat to connected devices will be discussed and how developers can, with the correct design processes and products, deliver security in their products to gain competitive advantage and avoid disastrous consequences.
