Electronics & Applications 2021 offers the exhibition visitor several lively projects.
In collaboration with exhibitors, the projects: the Demoplein and the Electronics gadget are set up. The successful project Best Solder of the Benelux, which has a strong competitive character, will also be back.
Participation in these projects ensures enthusiasm, interaction and exhibition experience for the visitor.
Gadget 2021: E&A Parrot
The gadget for this edition is the ‘E&A parrot’. The E&A parrot is a ‘voice recording device’ in the shape of a parrot with a built-in microphone that records a line of text of several seconds. The built-in microcontroller distorts it using some fun special effects and plays the voiced text through the built-in speaker.
On the exhibition floor, the visitor collects the E&A Parrot by following various steps. During the fair, the special effects, are able to be ‘live’ unlocked. The functionalities combined with the trendy and colorful design are the ideal gadget for young and old. A big advantage of the gadget is that it can be used by visitors both during and after the fair.
Dekimo – Leuven, developed and made the functional layout of the E&A Parrot. Saar Drimer of Eurocircuits took care of the artistic front of the PCB as a developer. In addition, Eurocircuits produces the prototypes and the PCB series, part of which A1 Electronics will be present before the start of the fair. The rest of the series will be delivered to the Live Production Line during the fair. This beautiful project shows that the collaboration between the Industrial Electronics members is good.
Live production line & Demoplein
This year at the E&A fair again plenty of attention for Electronics production with a combined production square, where a Live Production Line and demo square come together!
Live PIL (Live Production Integration Line)
The exhibition gadget the ‘E&A parrot’ will be made ‘live’ on the exhibition floor. A total of 1,500 exhibition gadgets are available, with approximately half being produced on the exhibition days.
On the Demoplein of Electronics &Applications, participants show the individual qualities of machines. With some machines, couplings are made and the interdependence is shown, others give stand-alone demonstrations. The possibilities of robotization, virtual reality, IoT and Industry 4.0 are certainly discussed. For example, the Demoplein offers visitors the experience of the near future of electronics production.
The best solder: a classic craftsmanship!
During the ‘Best solder of the Benelux’ competition, professionals compete ‘live’ on the exhibition floor every exhibition day. Professional solders must solder components and connectors on a
circuit board within approximately 50 minutes. Soldering is still a very important part, which is why we want to “honour the Classic Craftsmanship!” with this project.
PIEK judges the participants on different criteria and chooses a day winner every exhibition day. The three day winners are rewarded with a Weller soldering station.
Do you have at least 1 year of professional soldering experience and is soldering components and connectors not a problem for you? Then sign up here for a free exhibition visit and as a participant for the soldering competition. We have limited availability, so don’t wait too long!
