Education Working Group
The Education working group wants to create more awareness for the field of building automation. Although many educational institutions are concerned with technology, students do not focus enough on the built environment. It is important to get students enthusiastic about technology from an early age. For example, they are more likely to opt for a technical course in secondary education later on.
Although there are great initiatives to encourage technology in education, there is a need for a structural vision for the long and short term. The Education working group is investigating how the Building Automation trade organization can contribute to making students enthusiastic about technology in primary education. In addition, there is collaboration with educational institutions in secondary education. The Education working group inventories which training courses are offered and where there are opportunities for collaboration.
For example, there is already a collaboration with technical training institute TVVL. Together with TVVL, FHI has developed the System Architect training developed. A second training course is currently being developed to create a complete trajectory.
