The new DALI multi-sensors from Loytec have an integrated Bluetooth chip. This chip functions as a beacon. iBeacon, Eddystone-UID and a Loytec custom beacon are supported. It regularly sends a freely configurable beacon ID. This ID can then be received by end devices, such as smartphones, and used for indoor navigation.
Coming Soon
In the future, the Bluetooth chip will also receive beacons itself and transmit this information via DALI (what is DALI?) to a controller. The information is then available on the controller itself as a data point. The data point contains the timestamp and the ID of the transmitting beacon. Currently, the LDALI-MS2-BT and LDALI-MS4-BT can receive and process up to 32 beacons per sensor. This is used for use cases such as asset tracking, heat mapping, hot desking* and much more.
