Hockey puck
Jola supplies a wide range of leak detectors. The best known is of course the Hockeypuck. This is a plate electrode for mounting on a floor, in a drip tray or another smooth surface. The 4 'legs' make the 2 electrode plates float above the floor, as it were. When a conductive liquid flows under the plate electrode and makes a conductive connection between the 2 electrode plates, an alarm follows. Because the electrode plates do not have direct contact with the surface to be monitored, but float above it due to the 'legs', it can also be used on metal floors or in metal drip trays. The Hockeypuck is 4-wire, 2 wires for the power supply (12…30V AC/DC) and 2 wires for the potential-free break contact. The break contact not only provides an alarm in the event of flooding, but also in the event of a power failure or wire break. No relay is required!
