HELUKABEL, one of the leading global manufacturers and suppliers of cables, wires and accessories, has introduced the ISOBUS PUR hybrid power and data cable for use in the agricultural sector. This cable connects tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers and other agricultural vehicles to their implements at the front or rear of the machine.
The ISOBUS PUR is built according to the global ISO 11783 standard
regulates communication between agricultural machines, mainly tractors and implements. Application areas of ISOBUS include: wheel sensors, automatic steering and turning, GPS navigation, driving guidance, equipment and sensor monitoring, video input and fleet management to name a few.
The PUR sheathed hybrid cable can operate in environments ranging in temperature from -40°C to +85°C, depending on the application. In addition, the robust outer sheath of the ISOBUS PUR is resistant to oil, wear, UV radiation, microbes and is flame retardant.
HELUKABEL currently offers three configurations for agricultural OEMs, but can also supply custom constructions upon request.
The three standard configurations are:
▪ PN: 17001249 – 2xAWG10 + 2xAWG14 + 1x4xAWG20 (2×6 mm2 + 2×2.5 mm2 + 1x4x0.5 mm2)
▪ PN: 17001250 – 2xAWG8 + 2xAWG14 + 1x4xAWG20 (2×10 mm2 + 2×2.5 mm2 + 1x4x0.5 mm2)
▪ PN: 17001251 – 2xAWG6 + 2xAWG14 + 1x4xAWG20 (2×16 mm2 + 2×2.5 mm2 + 1x4x0.5 mm2)
