The Megger insulation resistance testers MIT415/2 and MIT417/2 have not only been developed for use in industrial and electrical installations, but also for use in signal cables, motors, ESD, panel construction and aviation.
The stabilized test voltage can be set from 10 V to 500 V (MIT415/2) or even 1,000 V (MIT417/2) with a maximum overvoltage of only 2%. With this accurate test voltage, there is no chance of overvoltage damage to circuits or components. With a measuring range of up to 200 GigaOhm and diagnostic functions such as PI and DAR, these instruments are widely applicable. In addition to measuring insulation resistance, both devices also offer a continuity test with 20 or 200 mA, True RMS voltage measurement and detection of and protection against live circuits. The Megger MIT415/2 and MIT417/2 have safety category CAT IV 600 V and are splash-proof (IP54).
