For the first time in history, the KNX Association is organizing a digital KNX trade fair. The KNXperience, as the trade fair is called, serves as a central platform for presenting and experiencing the latest KNX products, solutions, tools and ideas. The digital trade fair will take place from September 28 to October 2, 2020 and is open to anyone interested in smart home and smart building solutions. The online event can be followed in English and German at www.KNXperience.org. The international KNX Awards will also be announced on September 29. KNX Netherlands will also be present at this trade fair to present the Smart Inside community in its own online stand.

The KNXperience is not very different from a regular on-site event, such as the Light+Building trade fair. The digital exhibition hall is filled with virtual stands where real professionals (KNX Association employees, KNX professionals, people from KNX manufacturers and other partners) inform visitors about the new KNX solutions. The only difference is that the contact takes place via PC, mobile or tablet. Each visitor can decide whether he or she wants a one-on-one conversation with the representative of a stand.

Interactive event

A dedicated networking area enables interaction between the different participants. They can enter this virtual space and then select the ‘room’ they want to enter. Representatives in the stands have their own space and offer visitors the opportunity to address them individually or in groups. The representatives also have the possibility to facilitate group discussions. Furthermore, numerous real-time activities are planned to get in touch with visitors; from games like ‘Kahoot!’ and interactive lotteries to win special KNX prizes, to the famous KNX Championship with KNX Virtual, where visitors can win free ETS Professional licenses. Furthermore, the KNX Association rewards the users and companies that use KNXperience the most intensively with gifts and licenses.

Program full of highlights

With its extensive week-long conference program, KNXperience offers participants a range of opportunities to experience the latest innovations from the KNX world. Special topics on the agenda of the digital trade fair include "Services with KNX", "KNX IoT" and "KNX Energy Management". The program also includes sessions on the latest KNX solutions that KNX professionals use in their projects. As is customary at all conferences, all conference sessions offer participants the opportunity to interact with the various speakers in real time. This allows visitors to submit any questions or comments directly to the speakers.

KNX Awards 2020 goes digital

A real highlight of the KNXperience will be the 13th edition of the KNX Awards, the world's most prestigious and coveted award for smart home and smart building projects. For the first time, the KNX Awards ceremony will now take place completely digitally. On September 29, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., the jury will announce the winners of the prizes. The KNX Awards are presented in the categories "International - Europe", "International - Asia", "International - Africa, America & Australia", "Energy Efficiency", "Special", "Publicity", "Young" and "People's Choice".
