Since September, MCS has been participating in the New Work project in The Beacon in Antwerp. The Beacon building will be a test building from September 2020 to the end of February 2021 to test new technologies. These new technologies will ensure that they make a positive contribution to health, well-being and productivity in the workplace.
A Private LoRa network contributes to health in the workplace at The Beacon
For the New Work project, MCS has chosen to Private LoRa Network to test for companies that would like to use IoT applications. The goal is to make them work more efficiently and effectively. On this Private LoRa network, various smart sensors for Smart Building connected. These sensors collect data for smarter building management. The data is combined in a specially developed dashboard.
By analyzing the data, The Beacon gains a clear insight into building management. This immediately contributes to health, well-being and productivity on the work floor.

Pitch sessions organized by The Beacon
MCS was given the opportunity in February to present its technology through pitch sessions. This gave us the opportunity to share our technology with managers of The Beacon's partner organizations. Including a major Belgian port company, a few important names from the real estate sector, construction companies and the external service for prevention & protection at work!
