Whistleblowers reporting scheme mandatory as of 01-07-2016!

The law House for whistleblowers comes into effect on July 1, 2016. Check it out here Royal Decree in the Government Gazette of Friday, May 27, 2016. This law means that all employers who employ at least 50 people will be legally obliged to have an internal reporting procedure as of July 1, 2016. The works council has the right to consent to the internal reporting procedure. It is therefore wise to involve the works council at an early stage. On the website of the Whistleblowers Advice Point you can find more information about the legislation. As of July 1, 2016, the activities of the Whistleblowers Advice Center will be incorporated into the House for whistleblowers. The House for Whistleblowers guides people who want to report misconduct at work with advice, research and information. The House will also be able to investigate the suspected abuse and the way in which the employer behaved towards the reporter.
