Source: MKB-Nederland   A new perspective for the Netherlands. Under this heading, MKB-Nederland, VNO-NCW and LTO Nederland are presenting the NL Next Level campaign today in Nieuwspoort. The Netherlands is among the world's best in terms of economic performance, happiness and sustainable entrepreneurship, but at the same time it is also at an important crossroads, according to the business organisations. 'Issues arise regarding safety, urbanisation, unemployment, the pressure on raw materials, the energy transition, but also how to utilise the opportunities of digitalisation and new technology. Existing systems are being challenged. This leads to uncertainty among people.' Good future According to the business organizations, it is important that new insights are offered into a good future. 'A future where our economic strength is at the service of leadership in the combination of prosperity, sustainability and inclusiveness. Everyone participates and shares in the prosperity.' With NL Next Level, entrepreneurs want to talk to all parties in society in the coming months. New opportunities 'A great strength of the Netherlands lies precisely in good cooperation between government, businesses and other partners involved', state MKB-Nederland, VNO-NCW and LTO Nederland. 'These challenges contain new opportunities for entrepreneurship, growth and jobs. Not only through investments here, but also because we are able to export our achievements like no other.' Investments What is needed for this is a targeted policy and a multi-year investment programme anchored in the new government agreement, according to the entrepreneurs. That multi-year investment programme should grow to 7.5 billion in public investments on an annual basis. In addition, a 'Next Level Investment Fund' must be created to finance transition investments with private money of approximately 100 billion euros up to and including 2025. Earning power Both sources of financing are needed to finance 'Next Level investment programs' in the field of energy transition, infrastructure, innovation, safety, digitalization, food security, circular economy, entrepreneurship, urban vitality, rural economy and nature. Based on the CPB growth forecast up to 2021, the required amounts fall within the agreed EU frameworks, according to MKB-Nederland, VNO-NCW and LTO Nederland. 'This additional budgetary space is thus used for the earning power of the Netherlands.'
