The Power-over-Ethernet injectors from Phoenix Contact now have ATEX approval.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) injectors provide data and power to linked PoE-compatible devices such as cameras via a single common cable. With the ATEX approval, the devices can now be installed in Ex zone 2 without restrictions. In the process environment, cameras are increasingly used for monitoring critical processes and condition monitoring. The injectors provide the camera systems with installation surveillance and monitoring of equipment, resources and walking routes.
The Power-over-Ethernet injectors are configured for the IEEE 802.3 af (15.4 W) and at (30 W) standards as well as optionally for PoE++ with a power supply of up to 60 watts. The galvanically isolated adapter has an extended input voltage range of 18-57 V DC. The devices of the INJ 2000 series are equipped with various connection technologies such as Push-in for the PoE conductive cable in addition to the RJ45 socket. This allows simple cable connection without plug assembly and special tools. They also have integrated overvoltage protection.
