Twelve years ago, HEIDENHAIN introduced the first absolute open linear encoder, the LIC 4000, and a few years later its little brother, the LIC 2100, followed.
With the LIC 3100 we are expanding our LIC family and filling the gap between 1000 nm of the LIC 2100 and 20 nm of the LIC 4100 in terms of interpolation error. The interpolation error of the LIC 3100 is 100 nm.
The LIC 3100 offers high accuracy, is very resistant to dirt and can be easily mounted.
The LIC 3100 is an absolute dual-track encoder (incremental and absolute tracks) and is mechanically compatible with the LIC 4100.
The main differences:
LIC 3100 | LIC 4100 | |
---|---|---|
Interpolation error | ±100nm | ±20nm |
Deling period | 80 µm | 40 µm |
Main features:
- custom tapes are available in rolls of 3 m, 5 m and 10 m length
- steel tape, slid into aluminum profile or glued directly to the mounting surface
