The ROLF SANDVOSS INNOVATION CENTER houses the most advanced R&D, testing and certification center for valves and valve-oriented applications in Europe.
The center accommodates more than 200 test setups, allowing SAMSON and its affiliates to quickly develop new high-performance products that meet future requirements in testing and R&D activities. But customers and partners can also use the research and certification options.

Research & Development
The center offers prototyping, simulation and a variety of tests. In addition to traditional research themes, such as materials science, flow engineering, cryogenics, acoustics, control technology, product safety and system integration, new valve technologies are also investigated, including data analysis and integration on all common systems.
Focus on digital transformation
The innovation center focuses on the digital transformation of SAMSON products. It is therefore equipped with complex installation techniques and an advanced digital infrastructure. As a result, it offers a wide range of tests, process media, process conditions and application areas. In addition, the center forms the ideal basis for researching, developing and testing SAMSON products for Industry 4.0 environments.
The center offers:
– a CE lab for EMC and safety of SAMSON products;
– facilities that simulate different global atmospheric conditions for testing materials;
– laboratory ovens, climate chambers and simulation systems for testing life cycles;
– flow labs for fluid mechanics testing;
– simulation tools;
– a digital infrastructure for Industry 4.0 environments.
