BINX Smartility is a construction and installation company. That is special, because it does not happen often that these two sports are combined in one company. Leonie Meuwszen, Customer & Market Director, explains the benefits of this integrated approach based on a special project: the Stedelijk College Eindhoven. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

BINX specializes in integrated, UAV-GC contracts. \u201cThe addition GC stands for integrated contracts. This means that clients can record the design, construction and maintenance phases in the same contract. BINX is therefore not a contractor or installer, but all in one,\u201d says Leonie. She emphasizes that they are not separate BVs, but one organization. \u201cThe construction and installation colleagues work together on the same project at the same time. The biggest advantage is that you can really look at the customer's wishes, there is no priority from construction or installation. You approach all aspects integrally.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

Leonie gives an example: \u201cA common problem is that the installer is involved in the process too late. For example, the construction company has already determined the shaft space, but then it turns out that the installation technicians need larger shaft spaces. If the structural engineer has already determined it completely, then the client ultimately suffers from this.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

Municipal College Eindhoven<\/h4>\r\n

BINX works exclusively on projects in non-residential construction. The Stedelijk College Eindhoven project is an example of the integrated approach they use. In this project, BINX was responsible for the design, realization and maintenance of the new school building including sports hall. \u201cThe client consciously opted for a UAV-GC contract. The operating agreement included grounds maintenance, building maintenance, cleaning maintenance and an energy performance contract. Thanks to this working method, we can think about maintenance and energy performance from the design stage.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

Data-driven cleaning<\/h4>\r\n

BINX has entered into a cooperation agreement with a cleaning company for cleaning maintenance. \u201cIt sounds quite strange that a construction company has a cleaning partner,\u201d says Leonie, \u201cBut together with the cleaning partner, we can look at smart dynamic walking routes, cleaning corners, and innovations, such as cleaning robots, right from the design stage.\u201d This approach approaches cleaning maintenance in a completely different way. \u201cWe now work data-driven from the traditional cleaning schedule. Our starting point is that all areas must be clean.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

\u201cTogether with the cleaning partner, we can look at smart dynamic walking routes, cleaning corners, and innovations, such as cleaning robots, right from the design stage.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

Smartility<\/h4>\r\n

All installations within a building tell something about the activities of the users. BINX has therefore started with smart, data-driven maintenance. \u201cInitially the focus was on installation technology,\u201d says Leonie, \u201cFor example, to predict the replacement of filters. Because all information and data was available, we also looked at cleaning parties and other facility services. By linking the available data and facility services, you create an efficient data-driven building. Or even a data-driven environment, because the data flow obviously does not stop at the walls of a building. This way you can include departure and arrival times of public transport in the optimal functioning of your building. Ultimately, the user experience is central, for us that is Smartility.\u201d<\/p>\r\n
