More and more companies are opting for products from European brokerages. Collaboration with EU manufacturers offers several advantages, as shown during the seminar 'The advantages of European manufacture<\/a>' at the E&A fair in Utrecht. The seminar is on Wednesday morning, September 27 and admission is free.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Right partners
<\/strong>A good start is half the battle and this certainly applies to the selection of European partners. Klaas van Duin opens the seminar with a presentation<\/a> about the considerations VDL TBP Electronics<\/a> makes with a view to right first time<\/em>. Through appealing practical examples, the audience gets an idea of the do's <\/em>and donts <\/em>during the selection process.<\/p>\r\n

An important argument for doing business with non-European countries is the low personnel costs. Anton van Limpt (Bestronics<\/a>) and Jan van Lieshout (Smans<\/a>) to explain<\/a> that it is also possible within Europe to save on personnel costs by organizing business processes more intelligently: from design to shipping and all facets in between.<\/p>\r\n

Then Hans Baka from Digitaltest, on behalf of CN Red<\/a>, the word on a subject that is still with everyone fresh in my mind<\/a> lies: the component scarcity. Although the biggest problems are now over, we all want to prevent things from getting out of hand again in the future. Baka presents an innovative solution during his lecture: ECO (engineering change order<\/em>) on the FLY. This method combines a flying probe test <\/em>with fixture.<\/p>\r\n

A view on the future
<\/strong>After the break we turn our gaze to the future. Industrial electronics are becoming increasingly complex and advanced, which places higher demands on assembly. Tooltronics<\/a> explains during her lecture<\/a> how to produce reliable electronics and how to qualify and validate changes.<\/p>\r\n

Also when it comes to the time to market <\/em>we see that customers are becoming increasingly demanding. Kevin Domancich from Essemtec AG tells, on behalf of SMD-TEC<\/a>, how the time to market <\/em>to optimize through technical process improvements<\/a>. He gives a concrete example of a quick paste\/glue jetter<\/em> in the SMD pick and place <\/em>machine that saves both time and costs.<\/p>\r\n

A tip of the veil
<\/strong>What does the future of the industry look like in practice? Yannick Lambregts and Wilfred derkinderen van EUROPE SMT<\/a> highlight one in their lecture tip of the veil<\/a> on. The production processes will look very different: from the SPI that provides feedback to the printer, to the mounter<\/em> which sends messages to the pantry and the AOI that automatically intervenes if a problem occurs.<\/p>\r\n

Dieter Weiss from in4mon<\/a> concludes the seminar with a current overview of the EMS market. He shares the latest research, developments and trends so that you know what to expect in the near future and what business opportunities there are for your company.<\/p>\r\n
