The ESD garment protects electrostatic sensitive devices from field induction effects (non-contact charging of objects) caused by the personal clothing of human operators. The ESD garment is constructed in a Faraday cage style which will prevent the electric field emanating from a person&#039;s clothing to charge an object. As the washing process has an impact on the electrical conductivity over time, it is very important to periodically check the electrical conductivity for continued protection of your ESD sensitive devices.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>The measurement of ESD clothing takes some effort, due to requirement to spread garments out flat on a table in order to place the test probes in a stable manner. Large space is required to arrange a measurement and time consuming.<a
