JC Electronics launches this week JCertified, a guarantee seal for refurbished industrial electronics. With this, the electronics company responds to the overstrained situation on the market for drives, HMIs, PLCs and industrial PCs.

Due to delivery problems of large manufacturers, market prices have increased by more than 20% in the past year, giving suppliers with low-quality electronics free rein. With the quality mark, JC-Electronics wants to give the manufacturing industry confidence in renewed electronics.

Refurbish process
“Electronics that have worked can work again. Based on this philosophy, we have set up a powerful repair and refurbishment process over the past 16 years,” says Caspar Botter, Sales & Marketing Manager at JC-Electronics. In this process, the electronics are first professionally cleaned to remove all dirt. Defects and malfunctions are then remedied and components that are susceptible to wear are replaced. Finally, the electronics are thoroughly tested. In the case of Siemens HMIs, the housing and foils are also replaced.

Shortages turn market upside down
The market for industrial electronics is turned upside down by the chip shortage, a lack of raw materials and suspended production of new industrial electronics at Siemens, among others. “This is the moment for the manufacturing industry to discover that refurbished electronics are not just a cheaper smartphone for your teenager. But that it is also a reliable and affordable solution, which your production line can continue with for years to come. With the JCertified quality mark, we give customers that confidence. And a 2-year warranty, just like with new electronics.” says Caspar Botter.

In addition, using reconditioned electronics is a more sustainable solution. When a drive, PLC, HMI or industrial PC If materials are reused, raw materials do not need to be mined and the environment is less burdened with waste (e-waste).

Recognizable by the purple sticker
JCertified drives, HMIs, PLCs, and industrial PCs can be recognized by the sticker on the device. JC-Electronics refurbishes electronics from Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Allen Bradley, Control Techniques, Fanuc, Lenze and Indramat. This quality mark is stated on the product page of the JC-Electronics webshop.

About JC-Electronics
