In this article we discuss the fixed thru-axle pinion and its most important application: the realization of a compact, right-angle drive in combination with, for example, a hollow shaft gearbox.<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h2>Compact angle drive<\/h2>\r\n<p>Pinions with a fixed axle shaft are also known as pinion shaft, pinion shaft or Ritzelwelle. This option is mainly intended for mounting the pinion on, for example, hollow shaft gearboxes. If mounting with a keyway (G series) is chosen, the keyway tolerance is \u201ch9\u201d, which means that it is mounted with a light press fit in the gearbox to eliminate play as much as possible.
