Then come visit the stand\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/da-vinci-laboratory-solutions\/\" data-attribute-index=\"0\" data-entity-hovercard-id=\"urn:li:fs_miniCompany:757685\" data-entity-type=\"MINI_COMPANY\">Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions<\/a> for a demonstration of the DVLS3 Simply Smart Sensor; a hydrogen sensor that ensures safety while using hydrogen as a GC carrier gas.<\/p>\r\n<p>The DVLS\u00b3 Simply, Smart Sensor is installed in the GC oven for continuous monitoring of hydrogen concentrations in the oven. The LCD screen of the external controller indicates the measured gas concentration. When the sensor detects a certain hydrogen concentration, usually defined by the user between 25% and 50% LEL (equal to 1% \u2013 2% Vol. hydrogen), it will ensure the safety of the laboratory personnel in several ways:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<li>The sensor controller automatically switches the carrier gas to an inert gas and sends an automatic stop signal to the GC<\/li>\r\n<li>The controller&#039;s LCD screen starts flashing and the controller emits an acoustic signal.<\/li>\r\n<li>The sensor software alerts the lab personnel by:\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>showing a red status on the dashboard<\/li>\r\n<li>sending an alarm message via email, text (SMS), Growl or Prowl<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n<p>At Eastman Chemical in Middelburg they have equipped all GCs with a hydrogen sensor from Da Vinci. \u201cA column break in a GC does not occur often, but if it does happen, the sensitive sensors immediately detect the hydrogen and shut down the GC via a not-ready signal, which then automatically switches to nitrogen,\u201d describes Richard Burger, senior lab technician, the safe solution.<\/p>\r\n<p><a
