On Thursday June 16<\/strong> we organize an interactive meeting for all members of the Industrial Electronics industry about the current disruptions in our supply chain.

Every electronics company is currently dealing with it; component shortages coupled with long delivery times, material shortages, logistical challenges and the current geopolitical tensions. All this is creating a tense market, with the prices of components, materials, energy\/gas and transport skyrocketing.

In the meantime, European initiatives have been launched (e.g. Chips Act) to prevent the same problems from recurring in the long term. From our clusters\u00a0Development Club<\/a>,\u00a0Components<\/a>,\u00a0EMS<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Test & Measure<\/a>\u00a0this afternoon, presentations are scheduled that provide insight into the current issues and provide tools to get through this time as well as possible. Think of topics such as redesigns, obsolescence management, communication and supply chain management.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

We will of course look to the future together and conclude with a brainstorming session.<\/p>\r\n

Raditeq uses thousands of different components in its product portfolio. In the last quarter, hundreds of components had issues! Patrick Dijkstra discusses creative re-design (3D printing, stamps, alternative parts, etc.) and how companies have tackled or can tackle these issues.

The importance of validating modifications will also be discussed and insight will be provided into the issues involved in early detection of problems (reconfirmations, monitoring at\/of production companies).

1:30 PM \u201cStrategic sourcing during and after global shortage. To buy or not to buy\u201d<\/strong>
Global shortages have caused massive disruptions in supply chains of almost all electronic manufacturers. Customers have to rely more and more on an independent market, but it's difficult to make decisions in conditions of pressure, uncertainty and extremely high prices. This presentation will cover the process of working with independent distribution \u2013 quality standards to consider, how to structure requirements and make decisions \u2013 key factors to succeed in unstable market.

We will also talk about market forecast and potential post shortage challenges \u2013 obsolescence and excess inventory management.

Previous cycles of component shortages used to last about 18 months. However, in the last two years, many factors have come together in \u201cthe perfect storm\u201d. The end is not yet in sight.

High demand, long and complex production processes and extreme external factors have a major impact on the availability of components from almost all product groups.
The question arises as to how our chain in the Netherlands can limit the damage and position itself well for the future.\u00a0

Communication, transparency and innovation are the key words.
