Through parallel and faster processes, automation significantly increases the number of tests, saves manpower and ensures process reliability.<\/p>\r\n<p>For sample preparation for SARS-CoV-2, a few microliters of a solution of chemicals and enzymes are dosed. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hnp-mikrosysteme.de\/en\/news-events\/news\/detail\/micro-dosing-pumps-in-worldwide-use-against-covid-19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Micropumps from HNPM<\/a><\/strong> perform these demanding tasks with high accuracy in a reliable process. The minimum dosing volume is 0.25 \u00b5l. The pumps have a very small footprint and can easily be built into control systems. Fully automated analysis equipment can contain up to 16 dosing pumps and process up to 4,000 samples per 24 hours.<\/p>\r\n<p>Micro dosing pumps are also used in research into vaccines and therapies against COVID-19. Every development step in university research institutes, in international pharmaceutical companies or in start-ups worldwide is accompanied by numerous laboratory tests.
