However, these raw materials only get a good price if they can be sorted and reused. Incorrect additions not only mean lower sales prices or rejections, they can also cause major damage to plastics processing plants. Robust on-site solutions that detect plastics quickly and reliably accelerate all subsequent business processes. That saves recycling companies time and money!<\/p>\r\n<p>Near infrared (NIR) has been the recognized and most widely used method for plastic detection for decades. This technology is also used in large sorting facilities for plastic waste. With portable NIR spectrometers, the user obtains valid results that correspond to those in sorting companies.
