In this way, two PCBs can be easily connected to each other. This connector is commonly used in PCs to connect expansion cards or daughter cards and memory to the motherboard.  For the edge connector, plug contacts are led out at the edge of the PCB and gold-plated. Beveled edges simplify the insertion of the PCB.
