The current challenges for the production and process industry are large and multifaceted. Much can be achieved with proper use of the available technology. The condition is that healthy choices are made with expert people. The knowledge transfer of visitors, speakers and exhibitors at the PPA event emphasizes this: jointly making the challenges possible.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The seventeen 'Sustainable Development Goals'<\/a> of the United Nations sets broad goals not only for society, but also for industry. They will discuss this in more detail sustainability of the industry<\/a>, a resilient infrastructure and the need for innovation. In the presentation of Festo<\/a> the correct use of technology is discussed. This is summarized as Industry 4.0, where it is clear to all companies involved in the chain that we can only use opportunities sustainably if we follow good examples. The Festo speaker will therefore discuss the possible solutions on the basis of a number of concrete cases.<\/p>\r\n

Although the emphasis in the energy transition is on electrifying the energy system, gases and liquids continue to play an important role. Large quantities of hydrogen and carbon dioxide will be transported via pipelines.<\/p>\r\n

In the presentation of Krohne<\/a> remote monitoring of pressure, temperature and flow rate in pipelines is discussed. This monitoring and smart data analysis allows, for example, any leakage to be detected at an early stage to avoid catastrophes. These technical possibilities are again shown using practical examples.<\/p>\r\n
