Energy savings and gas supplies from other sources should make this possible. Currently, about 40 percent of the gas that EU countries consume comes from Russia.<\/li>\r\n<li>Shell is leaving the Russian market completely, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nu.nl\/economie\/6188126\/shell-trekt-zich-helemaal-terug-uit-rusland-vanwege-invasie-in-oekraine.html?redirect=1#coral_talk_wrapper\">reports NU.nl<\/a>. The company will stop purchasing gas and oil from Russia and will also stop operating four hundred gas stations in the country.<\/li>\r\n<li>Aegon stops future investments in companies in Russia or Belarus. The insurer has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aegon.com\/investors\/press-releases\/2022\/aegon-provides-update-on-russian-and-belarusian-investments-following-invasion-of-ukraine\/\">in their own words<\/a> its investment policy has been adjusted accordingly.<\/li>\r\n<li>The State Supervision of Mines warns against increasing gas production in Groningen to replace Russian gas. <a href=\"https:\/\/fd.nl\/economie\/1432609\/toezichthouder-verhogen-gasproductie-groningen-is-onverantwoord\">writes the FD<\/a>. According to the regulator, Groningen will not be safe again until 2028 when the reinforcement operation has been completed.<\/li>\r\n<li>The Dutch economy could grow significantly less or even end up in a recession due to the war in Ukraine. Rabobank warns about this, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ad.nl\/geld\/sancties-tegen-rusland-duwen-nederland-richting-recessie~a608c730\/\">reports the
