G4S connects Beveco's IX.Web to its own alarm center<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Security company G4S has chosen to connect Beveco's IX.Web platform to its own G4S Secure Operations Center (SOC). The user-friendly web-based platform developed by Beveco makes it possible to bring together all of a building's installations in the areas of security, safety and comfort in one place. The connection with the G4S SOC provides customers with support in managing their buildings. The integration also opens up new possibilities for data-driven work.<\/em><\/p>\r\n

IX.Web is a solution from Beveco that brings together (alarm) notifications from various systems on one platform. Notifications, but also the status of mechanical and electrical systems, come together in a user-friendly, web-based platform. All facilities in the field of security, safety and comfort can be monitored live via IX.Web, allowing users to raise the safety level of their buildings to a higher level and guarantee the continuity of processes. G4S has now installed this platform on its SOC, allowing alarm centre operators to quickly gain insight into all data and notifications from customers and thus provide better support.<\/p>\r\n

24\/7 monitoring of systems<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u201cUltimately, the strength of both our SOC and IX.Web is that all information comes together in one place,\u201d says Alex van Druten, manager SOC at G4S. \u201cAnd that in a way that is very user-friendly for the operator. What we aim for with our SOC is that we monitor much broader systems than just the security systems in a building. Receiving signals and following them up with actions is our most important task. That could be a report of a possible break-in, but also a signal from a fire alarm or a sensor that measures the quality of the air treatment. The combination of our SOC and IX.Web means that we can monitor our customers' systems up to 24 hours a day.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

IX.Web excels in complex environments<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

The difference between mechanical and electrical systems is blurring, which is why a system like IX.Web is so relevant, says John Kruijthof, director of Beveco. \u201cWe are in a transition in which these two worlds come together. Beveco realizes smart buildings, which involves the smart collaboration of all kinds of systems.\u201d In its current form, Beveco has been using IX.Web for three years for various clients, including data centers, hospitals, industrial locations and owners of office buildings. \u201cOur software is most effective when installations are complex and numerous. Take a hospital with thousands of fire detectors, for example; it is very useful to be able to see immediately which ones are malfunctioning and which ones are still working properly.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

Integration simplifies management, also internationally<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Kruijthoff is enthusiastic about the integration with the G4S SOC. \u201cIn recent years, we have been asked regularly whether we can also manage installations that are integrated with IX.Web. That is a role that G4S can take on with its SOC. Furthermore, we have various customers that operate internationally. It is very interesting for us whether we can connect with global suppliers in our market with the help of the services provided by G4S and our parent company Allied Universal. That applies to our software, but also to our knowledge and the way in which we approach projects.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

Efficiency gains through data analysis<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The installation of IX.Web at the G4S SOC not only means a lot of ease of use and better service in the short term, but also brings opportunities in the field of data-driven work. \u201cCollecting, unlocking and analyzing data from our clients will give us new insights into how systems in buildings behave and how we can maintain them better,\u201d says Van Druten. \u201cThat is already happening in part, but mainly on the basis of reports. By means of a live connection with large numbers of systems, we can go into much more depth here. It opens the door to predictive maintenance based on data and making climate installations more efficient, among other things.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

The flow of live data, collected in the SOC, can also be used to support on-site surveillance officers. \u201cWe can give them direct access to relevant data such as camera images and status reports from sensors. And by linking systems and collecting data, we can also assess much more quickly at the SOC whether there is an unwanted report or whether there is really something going on. In short, our service provision is really getting a quality boost with IX.Web.\u201d<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\r\n\t
