Leendert de Voogd<\/a> is working on behalf of EEMC to improve the quality of test results for IEC 61000-4-6 and ISO 1452-4. Through their intensive contact with users from various disciplines such as R&D, product testing, science and laboratories, it is repeatedly found that there are uncertainties on the part of the user regarding the subject of performed immunity in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-6 standard and in particular also in accordance with ISO 11452-4 with regard to the test setup and test performance.<\/p>\r\n

The scope of IEC 61000-4-6 tests and EN 61000-4-6 tests covers the conducted immunity requirements of electrical and electronic equipment to electromagnetic disturbances from intended radio frequency (RF) transmitters in the frequency range 9 kHz to 80MHz. The purpose of the IEC 61000 4 6 test standard is to establish a common reference for evaluating the functional immunity of electrical and electronic equipment when exposed to conducted disturbances caused by radio frequency fields.<\/p>\r\n

In addition to the theoretical framework of the two different standards, Ronny Kirsch's presentation at the RF Technology event will provide practical insights into the tests and thus help users to increase the quality of their test results and improve the reproducibility of the tests.<\/p>\r\n

EEMC<\/a> is a supplier of electronic components intended to improve the functioning of electrical and electronic products in their environment. This applies to immunity against incoming interference (interference radiation and conducted interference) as well as to emission (generated interference radiation).<\/p>\r\n
