The German Schl\u00f6der has a series of programmable ESD simulators with pistol grip, which can be used both on battery and on the mains:<\/p>\r\n<p>SESD 216: 16.5kV air and 10kV contact discharge<br \/>SESD 230: 30kV air and contact discharge<br \/>SESD 30000: 30kV air and contact discharge, variable discharge network, suitable for ISO10605, MIL-STD, etc.<\/p>\r\n<p>Depending on the product to be tested and the test setup, there are two test methods: air discharge and contact discharge.<br \/>Air contact tests are often performed on plastic housings. The contact tests can only be performed by actual contact, no test run takes place on oxidized or painted surfaces.
