The complexity of synchronizing multiple control signals increases as the number of qubits increases. By using an open field-programmable gate array (FPGA) architecture, the modular and scalable solutions offer flexibility and low latency, while optimizing cost and space. Keysight Technologies<\/a> has developed FPGA architecture for technical leaders in quantum, from postdocs and PhD students to principal investigators and CTOs. Jose Luis Preciado<\/a> presents this special work.<\/p>\r\n

Over the past two decades, superconducting quantum circuits have transitioned from fundamental research to a prominent industrial and academic platform for quantum computing. Subsequent improvements in coherence times, gate fidelity, and scalability have also motivated hardware manufacturers to enter the quantum ecosystem. By delivering classical control hardware tailored to quantum applications, engineers can take quantum processor performance to the next level.<\/p>\r\n

The speaker Jose Luis Preciado holds a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from UPC Barcelona (1989) and a Master's degree in Marketing Research from UB Barcelona (2001). He was also the former CMO at Signadyne, a startup company specializing in complex control systems for quantum applications that was acquired by Keysight Technologies in 2016. Signadyne's hardware and software products are the pillars of Keysight Technologies' Quantum Engineering Solutions.<\/p>\r\n
