This year PLOT is celebrating its 25th anniversary. After a period of working from home, team meetings and limited physical meetings, it is now possible to meet each other on location again. On Thursday 25 November we will celebrate PLOT's 25th anniversary with a festive day at the Railcenter in Amersfoort.<\/p>\r\n

The organization of the PLOT anniversary conference, together with the professionals of Railcenter, has filled the location in such a way that you can come to Railcenter with peace of mind. In order to guarantee the safety of all our visitors as much as possible, we ask all our visitors to bring a corona entrance ticket<\/a>. Once approved, a visitor is not obliged to wear a face mask and the 1.5 meter distance does not have to be maintained.<\/p>\r\n

Prevent and limit premature failure modes<\/strong><\/a>\"Geen<\/a><\/p>\r\n

'Infant Mortality'<\/em> is caused by imperfections in the production process. The Infant Mortality Defect Rate (IMDR) indicates the number of products that fail during the production of the product and the first year of use of the product. The defects are caused by components and processes that were used to produce the product.<\/p>\r\n

A fast learning curve with regard to the production process is of crucial value for ASML to be able to guarantee the required quality. To this end, a method has been developed with which the IMDR can be predicted. This method also highlights which manufacturing processes or components cause the defect percentage. Based on this, a mitigation strategy can be implemented before the product is even prototyped or manufactured. Mitigation is done by either changing the design, improving the processes or, as a last resort, testing the identified component or process. The data used for the prediction is based on measured dates from the past. During the PLOT anniversary conference, Dick van Hees will talk about this on behalf of ASML method<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

PLOT in perspective, from OTB to NPI<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\r\n\"Geen<\/a>\r\nThe objectives of PLOT are to gather and share knowledge in the field of reliability and environmental testing. But what has been the contribution of PLOT to your NPI process? And which tools have proven to be the most important over the years? In this presentation we will look at the role of reliability and environmental testing within the total supply chain, we will briefly review the PLOT activities therein and we will conclude with an overview of tests and tools that have been developed into state-of-the-art.\r\n

Old technology for reliable mobility today<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\r\n\"Geen<\/a>Of course, the link to the railway cannot be missed during the PLOT anniversary conference, after all, we are at the epicentre of testing railway-related developments. Richard Oostland, Manager Train Safety and Railway Construction of the Railcenter, will update you on current events, but certainly also on the history of testing on and around the railway. During this presentation, Richard will show you how old technology ensures reliable mobility today.\r\n
