The high-tech industry is facing increasing pressure from cyber attacks. Customer demand to guarantee cybersecurity throughout the entire life cycle of products is increasing and this is forcing the high-tech industry to make major investments.<\/p>\r\n

With Ethernet 4.0 we see that Ethernet is further penetrating industrial machines and devices. Smart asset managers see this as an advantage and therefore have quick access to data. Developers and users of embedded systems (hardware and software) are given an additional challenge. Programming the associated software has become more than just functionality and is increasing in complexity by finding and combating the causes of unsafe software. And at the same time the high-tech industry is being challenged by internet criminals with incorrect intentions.<\/p>\r\n

During the D&E event<\/a> says Jaap O. Mark, Cyber Security Specialist of the company BugReport, an overview of the current situation of internet attacks<\/a>. He paints a picture of the attackers and maps out their intentions. The key question, of course, is what can be done about it. Jaap also addresses that. Finally, we look to the future. What developments do we see in the future? Is the situation untenable or can we still get the attacks under control by thinking innovatively?<\/p>\r\n
