Electrical\/electronic components and devices generate electromagnetic fields. These interference signals can possibly interfere with components or circuits within a device, which can cause a device to not work or to work less well. To prevent this, EMC guidelines have been drawn up, which state that all electrical devices must comply with certain emission and immunity limits. These limits must ensure that a device always works correctly within an environment with other electrical devices or EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) sources. EMC compliance tests are performed to see if a device complies with these guidelines and the compliance tests consist of two parts: emission and immunity tests. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Joost van Heijenoort van AR Benelux<\/a> In his presentation, he addresses the question: how do a variety of measurement receivers, from a spectrum analyzer to a fully compliant measurement receiver, relate in practice to the measurement of pulsed signals?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Using practical examples, the performance and usability of pre- and full compliant receivers are compared and explained. Under which circumstances can you easily suffice with a pre-compliance spectrum analyzer and when do you really need a compliance measuring receiver.<\/p>\r\n

At the demo square of the EMC-ESD event, AR Benelux will show the differences between various receivers using a CISPR pulse generator, among other things. So after attending the presentation, definitely take the time to see the receivers 'Live' at work!<\/p>\r\n
