The high-tech industry is slowly but surely moving towards a situation where increasingly complex machines and systems need to be maintained. Carmen Bratosin, Senior Research Fellow at TNO and working at the ESI program, will tell more about the rise of models that make predictions at system level during the Design Automation & Embedded Systems event.<\/p>\r\n

During her lecture, Bratosin will want to make it clear that solutions are in sight: \u201cUltimately, I want to make it clear during my presentation that it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain complex systems. But thanks to developments in the field of deep learning and graph reasoning, solutions are in sight. We are working on this together with our partners.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

\"\"Building bridges between CAD and CAM<\/a>
<\/strong>There is a large knowledge gap between designers and production companies regarding the feasibility of electronics. Dirk Stans of Eurocircuits<\/a> will explain during the D&E event what the pain points are and how to tackle these pain points. With a dose of common sense and the use of the free to use Visualizer smart tools from Eurocircuits, it should be possible for designers to create a layout that is \u201cright first time for manufacturing\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Dirk Stans states: \u201cThe lack of knowledge about the feasibility of electronics among electronics designers is a very old problem. We are dealing with two different worlds here. The electronics developers think about electronic functionality and move in the world of CAD (Computer-Aided Design). He shows how a back-up power supply of Supercaps can be built. <\/strong>Within Industry 4.0, the penetration of Ethernet into industrial machines and devices is becoming increasingly visible. We are on the eve of the next step. Ethernet is going to make its entrance into the world of sensors and actuators. All this is made possible by a brand new technology called Single Pair Ethernet (SPE).<\/p>\r\n
