All metric Redi-Rail sizes now include a 4-wheel and 5-wheel carriage. These product enhancements provide you with even more design flexibility, higher load ratings, and significant cost savings.<\/p>\r\n<p>In regards to increasing the load, it is important to understand how the addition of wheels affects the load capacities and which wheels will support the load based on their relative position to the assembly. What this means to you is that while the load capacity can increase significantly with the addition of wheels, in some cases the values will not change when going from a 3 wheel walker to a 4 wheel walker due to the arrangement of the loaded and unloaded wheels.<\/p>\r\n<p>The added flexibility of multiple casters can save money in designs where a single 4 or 5 wheel carriage can take the place of two 3 wheel carriages. In some cases, that savings can be as high as 25%.
