Cable reels normally transport power, electrical signals, data or various types of fluids.<\/p>\r\n<p>Slip rings are used for transmission of high frequency signals, high data rates or where a low bit error rate (BER) is required. Here the right result is achieved with a fiber optic slip ring.<\/p>\r\n<p>The Eltrex Motion product range includes electric, fluid, fibre optic and combined (electric + fluid + optical) slip rings. There are 2 types of cable reels: spring-loaded and motorised. In the latter case, an electric motor performs the winding and unwinding of the cables.<\/p>\r\n<p>Eltrex Motion is also able to supply explosion-proof, ATEX EX certified slip rings for applications
