Chemical recycling of plastics is on the rise. With the climate goals set by the EU for a circular economy for plastics by 2050 in sight, several companies are busy developing and optimizing processes. The aim is to use plastic waste as a raw material for the production of a wide range of new chemicals and plastics (e.g. naphtha), so that there is no longer any need to rely on new supplies of fossil raw materials.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

What can Suurmond do in this process?<\/h2>\r\n

In chemical recycling, plastics are broken down into monomers or other hydrocarbon compounds through high temperatures and\/or chemical reactions so that they can be completely reused for the production of new polymers, chemicals or fuels. This process takes place in several steps requiring different types of equipment. We start, in consultation with you, with an inventory of wishes and needs regarding the solution for your process. We then work from your P&ID and your process knowledge to an initial sketch and price indication.<\/p>\r\n

Together we select the right components for your system and the quotation will follow. After the agreement has been concluded, we will start putting the whole thing together.<\/p>\r\n

Suurmond offers solutions in the form of pressure reactors, dosing systems, process pumps and filtration, but can also provide complete solutions in collaboration with you and selected partners.<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Pressure reactors<\/h3>\r\n

\u00b7 Dosing systems<\/h3>\r\n

Dosing systems are often used to add solvents, additives, catalysts and\/or chemicals in liquid form.<\/p>\r\n

Suurmond delivers extremely accurate, pulsation-free dosing systems<\/a> from \u00b5l\/hour to > 35l\/min!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\"suurDOS\u00ae\r\nsuurDOS\u00ae dosing system for\u00a0
microliters per hour.\r\n\r\n

With pulsation-free dosing, the quality and efficiency of your dosing process are guaranteed.<\/p>\r\n

Goals such as minimizing the amount of additives used, increasing control of a reaction or improving the homogeneity of mixing throughout the process can only be achieved through highly accurate and pulsation-free dosing of additives.<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Process pumps<\/h3>\r\n

For accurate dosing, transferring and circulating liquids and lubricating oil, pumping from vacuum and building up pressure, we supply pumping<\/a> that are explained specifically for the application. Gear pumps are also very suitable for demanding processes with extreme parameters, even under hazardous conditions.<\/p>\r\n

\u00b7 Extrusion and filtration<\/h3>\r\n

The STOMACH booster pumps<\/a>, type extrex\u00ae, are used to overcome the pressure drop caused, for example, by fine filtration. In addition, these booster pumps ensure a constant and stable melt flow to ensure excellent product quality.<\/p>\r\n

Different types of screen changers from STOMACH<\/a> can be used to increase the quality of your final product. MAAG has process-continuous and -discontinuous screen changers<\/a> in their portfolio.
