Experimenting, persevering: the students of Solar Team Twente know all about it. Just like the other participants, the Twente team also prepared for the annual Solar Change in Australia with its own solar car. Until it turned out that the race there could not go ahead due to the corona restrictions. And the teams had to look for an alternative, and so ended up with a race through the Moroccan Atlas Mountains.<br \/><br \/><strong>Inspiration is the real profit<\/strong><br \/>Driving the solar car through mountainous terrain instead of over flat terrain: it is challenging. And fascinating just as well. Also for the Twente students, who of course hope for victory during the Challenge that will take place soon. Yet there is more to the team than that. Efficiency, more economical and more conscious use of energy: with a view to a sustainable future, it is up to the students to inspire with their solar car. The team is constantly looking for that few percent more. And in this way contributes to the energy transition that we all have to deal with.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Untiring Effort for Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fhi.nl\/app\/uploads\/filemanager\/1518\/1633443607_untiring-effort-for-improvement.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"261\" \/><br \/>RED Horizon, as Solar Team Twente&#039;s new car is called, is the result of in-house engineering and production. The students do a lot themselves, supported where necessary by former team members and input from sponsors and companies. There was also a question for Panasonic Industry, focused on efficiency and safety. What did that lead to?
