New ways are emerging to be sustainable, generate income and reduce energy costs. The big technology companies can take the lead when it comes to decarbonizing the power grid by operating more flexibly. But they can also play a role in controlling the demand for energy (demand response).<\/p>\r\n<p>Liebert\u00ae EXL S1 with Dynamic Grid Support provides static and dynamic frequency regulation by controlling power input and battery charge\/discharge based on activation thresholds. This solution also supports power demand management services if the control commands for modulating the UPS response relate to the flexibility of power demand control.<\/p>\r\n<p>Specific controls maintain the necessary levels of energy in the batteries to support critical workloads in the event of an outage. When the Dynamic Grid Support mode is operational, the UPS responds quickly to control commands from the power grid. The total response time between detecting the frequency deviation required to activate the controller and the UPS delivering the required power level is 500 milliseconds. This enables organizations to protect their business-critical applications with stable power supplies.
