The\u00a0Cinergia<\/a>\u00a0EL series AC loads are regenerative electrical AC loads. This allows you to simulate a load pattern of, for example, a residential building or an entire street. Due to the 4-quadrant concept of the EL-AC, the absorbed energy is not dissipated in heat but returned to the grid. This is also referred to as a regenerative load.<\/p>\r\n

Cinergia's advanced DSP technology makes it possible to generate pure capacitive and inductive currents with the AC load, which results in reactive power. It is therefore possible to create any desired Power Factor with this load for a specific grid simulation. This makes this series of loads particularly distinctive and an excellent replacement for R, L, C loads that are used, for example, in anti-island applications for testing solar panel inverters.<\/p>\r\n

Individual \u201cload\u201d channels<\/h3>\r\n

The Cinergia EL series AC load contains three individual \u201cLOAD\u201d channels, which can be used independently, but also as a balanced or unbalanced 3-phase load. Parallel use of the three channels creates a 1-phase load, suitable for 3x the maximum current. The operation of this electronic load is in constant current (CC), constant power (CP) or constant impedance (CI) mode.<\/p>\r\n

Within the voltage range of 0-277V, LN, depending on the model, load currents are adjustable from 0-10Arms to 0-230Arms at three individual channels. In single channel mode this is 0-30Arms to 0-690Arms. Optionally, a voltage range of 0-295V LN is also possible.<\/p>\r\n

It is also possible to create harmonic distortion of the current, up to the 50th harmonic. This way, the behavior of single or three-phase rectifiers can be simulated. Various simulations can be freely programmed by the user. In addition to harmonic distortions, it is also possible to program inter-harmonic distortions. This up to a maximum of 20 different frequencies with a maximum of 2500Hz.<\/p>\r\n

The EL-vAC regenerative loads from Cinergia have extensive measuring functions and can be operated both manually and via the standard LAN Ethernet with Modbus\/TCP protocol. Optionally, RS485, RS232 or CANbus communication is also possible. Cinergia supplies the specially developed Graphical user interface.<\/p>\r\n
