The need to maintain an emergency lighting system is included in the Building Decree, the Building Regulations and the Working Conditions Act. Emergency lighting is a safety system and has a periodic maintenance obligation. This means that an emergency lighting system must be inspected by an approved company at least once a year.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Deferred maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>The corona pandemic is hitting many entrepreneurs hard. The mandatory closure is causing a significant drop in their turnover and ongoing fixed costs are causing much necessary maintenance to be postponed. Due to the outbreak of the corona virus, on-site maintenance was not possible for a long time. Including the maintenance of emergency lighting installations. If no or overdue maintenance is carried out, the aging process can proceed very quickly.
