Since Friday, June 19, the component data of all IXON routers has been included in the EPLAN Data Portal. This makes it particularly easy for users of the EPLAN Platform to consult data from the IXON routers and gateways and include them in their designs.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Overloon June 22, 2020 \u2013 Machine, control and switchgear construction has been making extensive use of product data for years, such as those within the EPLAN<\/a> Data Portal are offered. Component data from more than 300 manufacturers with almost 1 million products is now available in this Data Portal. Manufacturers provide this data themselves and can easily keep it up to date. With this device data, users of the EPLAN Data Portal worldwide can simplify and accelerate their engineering processes.<\/p>\r\n

To design virtual control cabinets, engineers can easily select the required macros, component data and 3D data in the EPLAN Data Portal and include them in their CAE designs. This makes it very easy to automatically make connections between equipment from different manufacturers.<\/p>\r\n

Remote Service & IIoT service provider IXON<\/a> is working hard worldwide to offer machine builders and system integrators remote access and data services for industrial machines and building management systems. IXON uses IXrouters<\/a>, self-designed VPN gateways that are specifically optimized for this application.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Because IXON has now also added its IXrouters to the EPLAN Data Portal, it becomes easier and more accessible for designers of industrial installations to combine IXON with other products in their EPLAN designs.<\/p>\r\n

Bart van den Corput (IXON): \u201cMany of our customers use EPLAN to design switch cabinets. Adding all IXON products to the EPLAN Data Portal was therefore a given. One of IXON's core values is that we want to serve our customers as optimally as possible. Because IXON products have been added to the EPLAN Data Portal, our customers can use our products even more easily when designing the switch cabinets. We have added both a 2D and a 3D model to create a maximum customer experience.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

All types of routers and associated accessories have now been added to the portal. Bart: \u201cWe received the correct information from our contact at EPLAN, account manager Paul Lempens, to upload IXON products into the Data Portal. We made all technical drawings ourselves in 2D and 3D in EPLAN. The EDZ files were submitted for review to the EPLAN content quality department and after a few revisions the green light was given and we obtained the EDS certificate.
