The Asia-Paci\ufb01c International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC) is the largest EMC event in Asia\/Pacific and will have a strong link with EMC Europe 2018, which was organized in Amsterdam.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

There is an overlap in the organization of both symposia. Dwi Mandaris is the chairman of the \u201clocal organizing committee\u201d for APEMC but at the same time also a LOC member in 2018 of Amsterdam. In addition, Prof. Frank Leferink was the chairman in Amsterdam, but in Bali he is chairman of the technical program. Cees Keyer is the treasurer in both organizations and Lilian Hannink is the secretary. The University of Twente works closely with Indonesia, through funds from RISTEK that allowed people like Dwi to study in the Netherlands. In addition, money is also available through an ERASMUS grant from the EU, making exchange between the Netherlands and Indonesia possible for staff and students. There is also a project funded by the NWO (Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research) with an emphasis on cooperation between the Netherlands and Indonesia, called ANRGI<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The first APEMC took place in Singapore from 19 to 22 May 2008. This was an important step towards a high-quality, international Asia-Paci\ufb01c EMC symposium that addresses the needs of a growing EMC community in the region, and that promotes ties with the world and encourages excellence among its members.<\/p>\r\n

APEMC has demonstrated scientific excellence, openness and a strong commitment to industry. The next APEMC will be held from May 25 to 28, 2021 in Bali, Indonesia. Bali is a paradise country in Indonesia with a special culture and many tourist attractions. Over the past five years, Indonesia has survived the economic crisis and has undergone rapid development in preparation for the new industrial era. This Symposium in Bali will create a special atmosphere \u2013 a mix of advanced technological developments, local culture and a romantic environment.<\/p>\r\n
