A group of students at TU Delft developed the AIRone ventilator in a period of three weeks. A prototype is currently being tested extensively and the preliminary test results are encouraging according to medical experts. The Ministry of Health wants to purchase 500 devices.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The AIRone<\/a> is being built on the campus in Delft. They are supported by a subsidy from Economic Affairs. The goal is clear: with a self-built ventilator, the shortages in IC departments must be countered.<\/p>\r\n

In developing the ventilator, the students focused on components that are available in the Netherlands. For example, the students show in a video from Nieuwsuur<\/a> see that almost all of the essential components come from our country.<\/p>\r\n

Although there is currently still sufficient ventilator equipment available in the Netherlands, the situation can change quickly if further scaling up is required. Medical specialists who have viewed the AIRone call the TU Delft product promising and praise the very short development time.<\/p>\r\n

The FHI members Bronkhorst and Telex are also involved as partners in the development of the AIRone. Incidentally, TU Delft is not the only one in the Netherlands working on new ventilators. FHI member Demcon is also involved active in this field<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\r\n\t
