In exactly one week it will be time! Then the second edition of the Energy Storage event<\/a> place in Van der Valk Hotel Vianen. There are already more than 500 registrations for the knowledge event about energy storage.<\/p>\r\n

It Energy Storage event<\/a> informs you about the latest developments in the field of energy storage through a broad program with lectures and expertise from exhibitors.<\/p>\r\n

There are opportunities for energy storage in an increasing number of application areas. For electric vehicles, transportation in general, buildings, data centers and the overall infrastructure, energy storage offers advantages in stability, effectiveness and efficiency.<\/p>\r\n

As a plenary speaker, Mark Bolech, researcher at the Circular Economy and Environment department of research institute TNO, will discuss the transition plans and the increasing possibilities of energy storage<\/a>To enable the transition to a sustainable economy in the Netherlands, energy storage, conversion and the circular economy must reinforce each other.<\/p>\r\n

In the current plans for the energy transition, there is a lot of attention for wind and solar energy, but the puzzle is much more complex in the field of sustainable energy. Energy storage is a must. For short-term storage, you can think of rechargeable batteries and for the longer term you may need fuel cells. But you can also convert energy into sustainable materials.<\/p>\r\n

Other plenary speakers are Henry Lootens<\/a> (director of the Dutch Direct Current Foundation) and Aswin Linden<\/a> (CTO of Heliox). They talk respectively about the battery as the final piece of the puzzle in the DC energy landscape and the choice of the right charging infrastructure in combination with energy storage for large electric vehicles.<\/p>\r\n
