How do you ensure reliable analysis results? And is validation necessary to prevent measurement uncertainties? Important questions to meet quality requirements and standards. During the seminar Calibration & Quality<\/a> on Wednesday, October 3, specialists and experts will share their knowledge and experiences. For example, Gerard Nieuwenkamp from VSL explains how calibrations can\/should be used to generate reliable measurement results.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Measurements are being taken all around us, the results of which form the basis for making decisions, managing processes or enforcing certain policies. But how reliable are those results and how can you ensure that the measurement data meets the correct quality requirements? Gerard Nieuwenkamp of VSL<\/a> During his presentation, he gives examples of metrology in everyday life and addresses the question of how calibrations can\/should be used to generate reliable measurement results.<\/p>\r\n

At SYNLAB, approximately 3,000 samples are analyzed per day at 2 locations in Europe. Approximately 3,500 devices are used. Everything must be traceably calibrated and checked in order to be able to carry out all 350 accredited operations, according to European guidelines. Corina van Eijk<\/a> shows how this entire process is managed, but also what challenges there are caused by the different insights in Europe.<\/p>\r\n

Characteristic of environmental and food samples is the variable matrix: one sample is not the same as the other. But determining the measurement uncertainty for each sample separately is not possible in practice. Henk van de Wiel from NEN<\/a> let yourself experience how to solve the problems by bringing the samples close and measuring yourself.<\/p>\r\n

In addition, gives Dibora Kettelerij from Qlip<\/a> an insight into the quality assurance surrounding the calibration of infrared equipment. The calibration of the equipment in their own laboratories, where almost 15 million samples of raw milk are analyzed annually. The production of various calibration series that are used worldwide. The on-site calibration service at dairies so that a production process can be controlled more efficiently.
