Battery fires and explosions are unfortunately becoming more common. And for the safe storage of electricity in energy storage systems (EOS) and the storage of lithium-containing energy carriers, the PGS 37 1 and 2 guidelines apply, which state that both storage locations and the employees involved must meet important safety requirements.<\/p>\r\n<p>Fortunately, with the help of gas detection it is now possible to be one step ahead of battery ignition and also to meet the PGS requirements.<\/p>\r\n<p>With the Molecular Property Spectrometer (MPS) sensor technology, thermal runaway is prevented efficiently and reliably. Gas detection specialists Peter Adema (Hitma) and Edward Heitlager (Crowcon Detection Instruments) will explain how this works during a free webinar on Thursday 30 January from 10:00.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Now also security in non-ATEX environments<\/strong><strong><br \/><\/strong>More than 100 companies attended the Hitma webinar last year on securing rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.<\/p>\r\n<p>Recently, the MPS sensor technology has also become suitable for non-ATEX environments.
