Our partner Vestius Advocaten has summarized the most important updates and legislative proposals in a memorandum.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What will change as of January 1, 2025?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Some important changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Abolition of enforcement moratorium DBA Act:<\/strong> The Tax Authorities are starting enforcement against bogus self-employment again, with a transition period of one year without fines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Maximum transition payment:<\/strong> This rises to <strong>\u20ac 98.000<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Increase in tax-free home working allowance:<\/strong> By <strong>\u20ac 2,35<\/strong> Unpleasant <strong>\u20ac 2,40<\/strong> per day worked from home.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Minimum hourly wage:<\/strong> For employees aged 21 and over, this is <strong>\u20ac14.06 gross per hour<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Premium differentiation WW:<\/strong> New percentages for permanent and flexible contracts (low premium: 2.74%, high premium: 7.74%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, there are clarifications about tax-free public transport subscriptions, the Work Costs Scheme (WKR), and the AOW retirement age will remain the same in 2025 <strong>67 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bills in the pipeline<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the updates, several bills are being considered, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Modernization of non-competition clause:<\/strong> Stricter rules, such as a maximum duration of one year and mandatory compensation to employees when the clause is invoked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mandatory appointment of a confidential counselor for undesirable behavior:<\/strong> Employers with 10+ employees must appoint a confidential counselor.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bereavement Leave Introduction Act:<\/strong> Right to paid bereavement leave for employees with minor children in the event of the death of a partner or child.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Staff retention in a crisis:<\/strong> New opportunities for employers to deploy employees flexibly or reduce wage costs during crisis situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Knowing more?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Want more details on these updates and legislative proposals?
