In addition, the medical power supplies are certified to the latest IEC60601-1 3<sup>rd<\/sup>&nbsp;edition safety standards and possess 2xMOPP or MOOP isolation levels and are often BF rated.<\/div><div class=\"cd-desc\"><br><\/div><div class=\"cd-desc\"><div class=\"html-wrapper news-short-description\"><p class=\"fr-tag\">For example: The MAD180 series is a 180W high power density medical AC\/DC power supply in a 2\u00d73 inch package from P-Duke. This new MAD180 series is an extension of it&#039;s existing range of 15W to 450W and delivers forced air cooling up to 180W and 150W at natural convection cooling.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"html-wrapper\"><p class=\"fr-tag\">Additionally, an up to 220W peak output power for 5 seconds is available. Other features of this series are: 2xMOPP insulation, low leakage current less than 100\u03bcA, certified with EIC\/EN\/ANSI 60601-1 <strong>which makes it suitable for any safety demanding type BF<\/strong> <strong>medical<\/strong> <strong>applications<\/strong>. This series comes in 2\u00d73 Inch open frame versions or optional encased versions and DIN-rail versions. Due to the compact design of the MAD180 within the same power range of power supplies, <strong>it is ideal for medical diagnostic equipment such as MRI scanners, laser treatment, X-ray and patient monitoring etc.<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"fr-tag\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.telerex-europe.com\/content\/files\/news\/2022\/P-Duke-MAD180.png\" alt=\"Image title\" data-mce-src=\"https:\/\/www.telerex-europe.com\/content\/files\/news\/2022\/P-Duke-MAD180.png\"><\/p><p class=\"fr-tag\">It provides a universal input range of 85 to 264 Vac and also especially supports 120-370Vdc input range. It has 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 36, 48, 53 Vdc single output voltage. The output voltage can be easily adjusted up to \u00b18% with the integrated potentiometer. Furthermore, they have the following protection functions:<\/p><ul class=\"fr-tag\"><li class=\"fr-tag\">over-voltage protection (latch mode),<\/li><li class=\"fr-tag\">over-current protection (hiccup mode and auto-recovery),<\/li><li class=\"fr-tag\">short-circuit protection (continuous and auto-recovery)<\/li><li class=\"fr-tag\">over-temperature protection (sensed by an internal thermistor; hiccup mode and auto-recovery)<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"fr-tag\">&nbsp;The MAD180 series is equipped with long-life electrolytic capacitors, efficiencies up to 94%, power factor correction is 0.95, no-load power consumption of 150mW max. and IEC protection types of class I and class II. The power supplies can be operated at an altitude up to 5000m and with its superior performance at an operating temperature of -40\u00b0C to +85\u00b0C.
